While there are various established spaces for design practices, young creatives often choose to go independent. In this panel discussion, we explore the different motivations behind setting up an independent creative practice; it can take form in founding a collective, setting up a physical space or going freelance. Join us as we find out about the journeys of our panelists and how they have forged their own unique spaces.

Death of Typography
Sylvia Low
Death of Typography is a young local type collective that practices, researches and explores type. Our workshops aim to encourage type appreciation and exploration, and to further local design discourse amongst young designers. We also run a foundry, offering fonts created by local designers and produced from our ongoing font incubation programme.
